Power Transformer Fundamentals Courses Brochure

Selecting, testing, monitoring, and maintaining transformers are essential activities in power utility operations.  Additionally, extending the life of existing infrastructure and safe transformer operation necessarily are items on the minds of many power engineers. This course will bring to bear the expertise of Mr. Wallace Binder, PE and member of the IEEE Transformer Committee of the Power and Energy Society for over 30 years. Participants will gain a greater understanding of transformer specification, and monitoring, as well as quality and reliability assessment, including product failure event analysis and maintenance issues.  The correct application of various types of transformers will be discussed.  The course will emphasize topics on vendor selection, testing and operations.
