The PXG 200E is designed to be used as a data acquisition tool for serially communicating energy meters, via its embedded Web server or connect to Ethernet-based applications such as enterprise energy management, demand response and smart grid programs. By connecting electric meters and water, air, gas, electric (pulse) and steam meters through the Eaton Digital Input Module to the PXG 200E, you can collect data to benchmark energy usage, set appropriate energy management goals, determine the effectiveness of your energy management initiatives, and reduce energy and utility costs. Data from downstream devices are time stamped and stored in non-volatile memory.No software is required to access your valuable energy data, but the data is importable into other systems. The PXG 200E’s onboard Web server and Web pages make recalling and viewing data easy from a standard Web browser. The PXG 200E also functions with the Eaton Digital Input Module to monitor water, air, gas, electric, and steam (WAGES) data, for logging and real-time value display. The interval log file can be exported to Microsoft® Excel® to generate a report. Further, the interval data is stored locally and can be downloaded into a .csv file for further analysis in an existing or new building management, network management, or other monitoring software system. In addition, Eaton offers the Power Xpert Energy Viewer (PXEV), a free download compatible with the PXG 200E and other Power Xpert components (see report on the next page). The PXEV provides you with a simple way to gather key energy parameters and display them in a simple tabular and graph report. It gives you the ability to select any of the interval logged data points of up to four devices, at the same time, connected to the PXG 200E and compare and contrast those data points from the same time variable (Day, Week, or Month) for LEED certification.
