PHÖNIX SonnenWärme AG is one of the most competent solar companies in the world, with more than 40,000 units sold.

More than 16 years ago, on April 19, 1994, a small circle of enthusiastic activists launched the PHÖNIX project, a solar chain reaction set in motion. The founding team consisted of experts from, among others, the Federation of Energy Consumers, the Fraunhofer Institute, the Öko-Institut and the German Society for Solar Energy. Most of them volunteered for voluntary work or against minimal expense reimbursement, as the stated goal of the PHÖNIX pioneers was to spread solar technology in Germany.

High prices, a lack of complete packages and lack of competent craftsmen and solar consultants had hitherto prevented the implementation of the already well-developed technology. The PHÖNIX recipe was very simple: the PHÖNIX solar experts conceived DIY-suitable system packages and publicly advertised them so that all manufacturers had the chance to participate. The best offers were selected and offered in Germany under the name PHÖNIX. As a result of this process, solar technology sales prices were almost halved, making the technology affordable for many.

At the same time, the PHÖNIX activists ensured through trainings, information events and seminars that they were able to qualify technically, technically and with regard to funding conditions and quickly established a network of Phoenix solar consultants. Significantly initiated by the PHÖNIX solar initiative, the new situation arose within a very short time that solar prospective customers could be given good advice and provided with a system suitable for their needs almost everywhere in Germany.

The success of PHÖNIX was resounding and within a very short time thousands of PHÖNIX solar systems were sold in Germany. The solar market grew enormously and the major heating manufacturers became aware of the technology. In the following years, most large companies established their own solar lines, partly through the purchase of or cooperation with the solar pioneers of the 80s and offered these products through their craft partners. PHÖNIX did not miss out on the professionalization of sales, and more and more PHÖNIX consultants discovered photovoltaics as a profitable business field and distinguished themselves as solar traders and solar tradesmen.

Conversely, the spread and standardization of solar technology has led to an increasing number of customer groups warming up for it. In order to better respond to changing demands and to keep up with market developments, PHÖNIX SonnenWärme AG was founded in Berlin in December 1999 on the basis of a concept by today`s CEO Raoul von der Heydt from the PHÖNIX Solar Initiative. PHÖNIX has been a manufacturer since then, with engineers and technicians developing concepts and components, designing complex solutions, creating simulations and yield calculations, and advising customers on all technical issues.

An independent research department develops products and tests new techniques. At the same time, in recent years the company has massively promoted internationalization and today has representation or branch offices in France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Ireland, Hungary and the USA. PHÖNIX is one of the most competent solar companies in the world, with more than 40,000 units sold. The philosophy has not changed, the PHÖNIX customer may expect, as in the early days of a cheap and solid product, which is optimally tailored to his needs. PHÖNIX is solar heat, yesterday, today and tomorrow!
