SunCoal Company - Profile

As a pioneer in the field of hydrothermal carbonization (HTC) SunCoal Industries develops and commercializes its patented CarboREN® -technology for the refinement of organic input materials into biobased carbons as a technology company and licensor with related services. For that purpose, the company runs its own HTC pilot plant as well as a development and engineering department in Ludwigsfelde (20 km south of Berlin). In current R&D projects in cooperation with partners the company develops an entrained flow gasifier for the production of syngas from biocoal. Since 2013, SunCoal Industries works additionally towards an adapted CarboREN® -technology in order to produce high quality carbons (solid and liquid).
