The resulting f lame jet ignites the biogas air mixture present in the combustion chamber.Basic engine Our gas gensets are based on d iese l engines. We use the ir h igh compress ion rat io for ef f i -c ient energy generat ion from lean gases such as b iogas. The h igh ef f ic ienc ies of our gas CHP uni ts are achieved by combin ing two proven technolog ies : the SCHNELL engine technology and the innovat ive B lueRai l ign i t ion process from agrogen.Gas engine technology Using an e lectronic ign i t ion sys tem from gas engines, the gas a ir mixture is ign i ted by a spark p lug . Specia l l y modi f ied for use with lean gases such as b iogas, gas engines can a lso ensure the ef f ic ient combust ion of gases that are d i f f icu l t to ign i te and can a lso achieve h igh ef f ic ienc ies .Gas engine technology with BlueRai l ignit ion process The ef f ic ient agrogen BlueRai l process uses a separate gas supply in the engine . A smal l por -t ion of the b iogas is ign i ted in a specia l l y deve loped prechamber of the combust ion chamber. The resul t ing f lame je t ign i tes the gas a ir mixture present in the combust ion chamber. The modi f ied p is ton shape and the e lectronic contro l un i t ensure the h igh ly e f f ic ient and low emiss ion combust ion of the pre- ign i ted gas.
