2015 Challenge Cup of Solar Building Design and Engineering Competition

To increase energy saving and emission reduction efforts, build smart cities, promote application of solar energy in buildings, and encourage architects and engineers to join hands and strike a balance between clean energy technology application and aesthetic appeal as well as buildings’ harmonious coexistence with ecological system, the Organizers of SNEC (2015) International Solar Energy and Green Building Conference have launched the 2015 Challenge Cup of Solar Building Design and Engineering (SBDE 2015)as a highlight of the Conference and practical application of the concepts and technologies advocated in the Conference. This Challenge Cup Competition kicked off on February 1st , 2015, and the award ceremony will be held on the evening of April 28th, 2015.

Promote application of distributed solar energy in buildings and sustainable development of cities and towns

Theme
With“Green Buildings That Embrace the Sun”as its theme and covering the design and engineering practice of green public and residential buildings, the competition focuses on the application of solar energy in buildings, aiming to promote the application of distributed PV, create low- carbon and beautiful living environment and public space, and promote ecological development and build a beautiful China through practical actions.

Competitors
Welcomearchitectural design institutes, colleges and universities, research institutes, research and development or manufacturing companies in solar energy and other related organizationsto encourage professionals in related fields to form groups and take part in this competition.
Requirements
  1. For those who would like to compete in SBDE2015, please click here and download SBDE2015 Competition Application Form, fill in the form, and prepare competition entry and materials according to “Competition Rules” specified in it. Then send the completed Competition Application Form along with entry and relevant materials to the Competition Secretariat via email (The email address of the Competition Secretariat is included in theCompetition Application Form). Competition application and entry and materials submission is open from February 1st to March 25th, 2015.
  2. Competitors should agree that the Organizing Committee of the competition has the right to publish, exhibit, and develop projects based on the entries you submit.
  3. Those whose entries are selected to be included in the Collection of Award-Winning Works should agree to cooperate with the Organizing Committee and make some adjustments to their entries according to the publication requirements.
