The EWEA 2015 Annual Event presents an international platform for the wind energy industry to showcase and demonstrate its latest products and services. The event features a broad conference programme, unrivalled networking opportunities and an extensive exhibition.

Leading European industry

With Europe’s industry leaders and policymakers attending, the event provides a periodic opportunity for the wind energy sector to meet with decision-makers and define the strategic direction for wind energy activities in Europe. And since the 2015 event is taking place just two weeks before world leaders will gather in Paris for the UN climate summit, there will be no better time to show policymakers the strength of the wind industry.

The comprehensive conference programme not only delivers cutting-edge technological knowledge, but also lively debates on European policy, markets and financial issues. Find out more about the European wind energy industry and its challenges and opportunities in EWEA’s 2014 annual report.

Business opportunities for the wind industry

Whilst Europe is undoubtedly the home of wind energy, the global marketplace is becoming increasingly crowded with new players. Every year, EWEA brings together more than 60 nationalities from around the world, making the event truly international and a great place to find new suppliers, check out new developments and build partnerships.

Industry networking at its best

The annual event takes place in a different European city each year and has an unmatched reputation for producing fruitful networking events in amazing surroundings. This year, the event takes place in Paris just two weeks before the UN climate summit. There will be no better time to show policymakers the strength of the wind industry while making international business connections.

Active for over 30 years

The European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) has represented the interests of the European wind energy industry for more than 30 years. Actively promoting wind power in Europe and worldwide, we support over 600 members active in over 50 countries, making EWEA the largest wind energy network.

Benefit from membership

Whether your company is active in onshore or offshore activities, our in-depth knowledge of the industry means that we can offer our members a wealth of expertise to help them achieve their business goals.

Organised by the industry for the industry

Revenue from EWEA events and membership is reinvested in the industry and used to fund EWEA’s policy and advocacy efforts, coordinating research and analysis and organising industry events to support businesses in the wind energy industry.

The stakes have never been higher for the wind energy industry. The UN climate summit is fast approaching, and world leaders will decide on which path to take toward mitigating climate change. The wind industry will need to aim high in order to secure itself a place in a low-carbon future. The EWEA 2015 conference will focus on decarbonisation, the environmental benefits of wind power and how the industry can continue to improve in these areas.

Have you been working on exciting research about the wind power industry? We will be accepting abstracts in eight topics: environmental impacts & social acceptance, finance, health & safety, integrating wind power into the electricity market,  O&M and logistics, Resource assessment, supply chain, and turbine technology. And if you’ve done ground-breaking work on the industry in the field of science and research, you can submit to the relevant topic from the list above. Submission deadline is 15 May.
