Full conference attendees will also receive a Professional Development Hours Certificate. Make sure to register as a full conference attendee to take advantage of all these opportunities.

Gas Turbine Technologies
These sessions cover a wide range of gas turbine-related topics, including technology advancements, simple cycle and combined cycle considerations, fuel flexibility, and operation and maintenance issues. In addition, major gas turbine OEMs will participate in a mega-session showcasing their latest innovations.

On-Site Power
This track features discussions about market-leading trends, technologies, and case studies from industry experts related to products ranging from 50kW to 10MW in capacity. Featured technologies include gas and diesel reciprocating engines, microturbines, combined heat and power, distributed generation, and emergency backup power.

Gas-Fired Power Plants
In these sessions, speakers will examine topics related to the chemistry, mechanics, operation, and construction of gas-fired power generation. Topics include generators, peaking systems, steam turbines, HRSGs, combined-cycle systems, boilers, and balance-of-plant systems.

Energy Storage
The widespread deployment of cost-effective, grid-scale energy storage solutions is looming. The ability to store large amounts of power will help power producers fill the production gaps created by growing amounts of intermittent generation. This popular track will cover software solutions, capacity firming, battery life, frequency regulation, and microgrids.

Emissions Control
Investments in emissions reduction can cost more than original plant. As a result, performance and compliance expectations are increasing. In this track, we’ll be examining efforts to improve compliance, control costs, plan for the future, enhance performance, and improve technology.

Power Project Financing
Financing experts explore the financing options and strategies that work best in today’s power generation market. Among other things, panelists will examine liquidity issues, risk and return expectations, new development possibilities, and the financial and regulatory barriers to overcome in today’s tight financial market.

Plant Performance
Panelists explore ways to improve and optimize the performance and reliability of existing fossil-fired power generation assets.
Topics include: gas and steam turbines, boilers, heat recovery steam generators, automation/optimization and maintenance.

The Digital Power Plant
A typical power plant is equipped with more than 10,000 sensors. They measure and communicate movement, vibration, temperature, humidity and chemical changes in the air and water. But only a fraction of that data is analyzed and quantified for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a power plant. Learn about the Industrial Internet of Things and the opportunities to exploit that data and make sense of the information to trim costs, increase sales and boost efficiency during the sessions of this conference track.

Material Handling
Material handling techniques are changing rapidly to accommodate modern environmental standards for coal ash and wastewater disposal. Among other things, our experts will discuss coal ash regulation, dewatering systems, pond closures, conveyor technology, groundwater monitoring, dry and wet bottom ash removal, dust suppression and flow behavior.

Clean Coal Technologies
There are many evolving clean coal technologies under development by researchers and power producers across the globe.
These sessions offer attendees the latest information on clean coal technology and development, including carbon capture, coal combustion, boiler management, flue gas treatment, oxy-combustion, and gasification.

Utility-Scale Renewable Power
Utility-scale renewable power projects are typically 10 megawatts or larger. These sessions examine the evolution and innovation in large-scale renewables. Issues include cost, performance, integration, policy, geography, O&M, new project development, and monitoring.

Distributed Renewable Power
More homes and businesses are producing their own power. Distributed renewable power systems come in many forms, including geothermal systems, solar panels, micro wind turbines, and small hydropower systems. In this track, our panelists will discuss new innovations, policy and regulation, integration, and permitting standards.

Nuclear Power
Nuclear power is a great option for meeting the world’s clean energy goals. In fact, the industry is expected to expand each year through 2020. Among other things, these sessions will examine the economics of nuclear power, O&M strategies, monitoring, licensing, project development, and the development of small modular reactors.

Business Trends & Regulatory Issues
Power professionals examine regulatory changes and economic forces impacting the global power generation market. In particular, panelists will discuss how technology, project development, system reliability, and asset management strategies are evolving to adapt to these market drivers.
