Energy Storage
- Sessions in this track cover the growing energy storage industry. Hot topics include frequency regulation, renewable energy firming, peak shaving, backup power and microgrids.
The Digital Power Plant
A typical gas-fired power plant is equipped with more than 10,000 sensors. They measure and communicate movement, vibration, temperature, humidity and chemical changes in the air and water. But only a fraction of that data is analyzed and quantified for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a power plant. Learn about the Industrial Internet of Things and the opportunities to exploit that data and make sense of the information to trim costs, increase sales and boost efficiency during the sessions of this brand new conference track.
Emissions Control
Investments in emissions reduction can cost more than original plant. As a result, performance and compliance expectations are increasing. In this track, we’ll be examining efforts to improve compliance, control costs, plan for the future, enhance performance, and improve technology.
Gas Turbine Technologies
These sessions cover a wide range of gas turbine-related topics, including technology advancements, simple cycle and combined cycle considerations, fuel flexibility, and operation and maintenance issues. In addition, major gas turbine OEMs will participate in a mega-session showcasing their latest innovations.
Industry Trends / Competitive Power Generation
Power professionals examine regulatory changes and economic forces impacting the global power generation market. In particular, panelists will discuss how technology, project development, system reliability, and asset management strategies are evolving to adapt to these market drivers.
On-Site Power
This track features discussions about market-leading trends, technologies, and case studies from industry experts related to products ranging from 50kW to 10MW in capacity. Featured technologies include gas and diesel reciprocating engines, micro-turbines, combined heat and power, distributed generation, microgrids, and emergency backup power.
Plant Performance
Panelists explore ways to improve and optimize the performance and reliability of existing fossil-fired power generation assets. Topics include: gas and steam turbines, boilers, heat recovery steam generators, automation/optimization and maintenance.
Power Project Financing
Financing experts explore the financing options and strategies that work best in today’s power generation market. Among other things, panelists will examine liquidity issues, risk and return expectations, new development possibilities, and the financial and regulatory barriers to overcome in today’s tight financial market.
