Another ultra low emission Clean Enclosed Burner (CEB) system for Southern California
Ptroleum exploration and production industry
August 5, 2011 -- Marietta, Georgia – Bekaert Corporation has sold an ultra low emission Clean Enclosed Burner (CEB®) system, model CEB 350, to an oil exploration and production company in Southern California. This unit will be the fourth system Bekaert has sold to the oil exploration and production industry in southern California.
Many of the oil exploration and production companies have wells that also generate associated gas, which is a mixture of various hydrocarbons that are pumped to the surface with the crude oil. Quite often, the volume of associated gas from the wells is too small to economically justify purifying it to natural gas pipeline quality or to use the gas to generate electricity. With this is in mind, the ultra low emission CEB 350 represents a simple, economical and environmentally friendly way to dispose of these gases.
The CEB 350 has a maximum thermal capacity of 12 MMBTU/hr or roughly 237,000 scf per day. It also has a compact foot print that is roughly four feet by four feet by 18 feet tall. Bekaert guarantees that the emissions from the CEB will not exceed 15 ppm of NOx (
