Cornerstone Announces Appointment of Industry Leader Chris Voell as Eastern Sales Manager for BioCNG(TM) Alternative Vehicle Fuel System
MIDDLETOWN, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 06/19/12 -- Cornerstone Environmental Group, LLC announced that Chris Voell has joined Cornerstone as Eastern Sales Manager for BioCNG?, the alternative fuel system that produces vehicle fuel from such biogas sources as landfills, wastewater treatment plants, and agricultural and food waste digesters. Mr. Voell will focus on expanding BioCNG's east coast presence and will also work on enhancing Cornerstone's growing organics management practice.
Mr. Voell comes to Cornerstone after 10 years at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, DC, where he helped promote the capture and use of biogas from landfills and digesters in the US and abroad.
After five years with EPA's Landfill Methane Outreach Program (LMOP) working on landfill gas energy, Mr. Voell spent the last five years working with the AgSTAR program, focusing on manure digester systems. He was well known for providing industry support, technical assistance, policy development, education, outreach, and networking.
Prior to EPA, Mr. Voell spent 13 years with the Solid Waste Association of North America, helping to improve municipal solid waste management practices across the US and the world. He is excited to reconnect with the literally thousands of SWANA members he had the pleasure of working with through the years.
