ECO launches a new service with kWIQly: a remote energy audit of building portfolios
ECO, a leading provider of high-intensity ultraviolet germicidal solutions for HVAC (Heating, ventilation and air conditioning) will soon offer a new service to its clients: a remote analysis of building energy efficiency all without onsite visits or device installations. All this powered by kWIQly.
kWIQly combines energy meter readings with independently sourced weather data, and using sophisticated pattern recognition identifies not only the existence of excess energy consumption, but also the root causes.
The powerful Intelligence of kWIQly (hence the name) does this. Given any set of buildings, kWIQly distinguishes between normal behaviours and aspects that are sub-optimal. This means that a particular weakness in an overall good performer can be addressed, an endemic problem e.g poor boiler controls, can be pinpointed, or something as specific as failure of an external temperature sensor can be highlighted, and all this is done prior to expensive audit site visits.
kWIQly helps customers deliver scalable energy efficiency through its SaaS (Software as a Service) pattern recognition analytic platform, which uses advanced meter data and weather data to identify, track and monitor energy efficiency savings in commercial buildings – all without onsite visits or device installations.
kWIQly has validated its solution through engagements with several customers, including the Building Research Establishment (BRE),the Office of Gas and Electricity Markets ( Ofgem), supermarket chains and hotels. In addition, the accuracy of kWIQly assessment is comparable to that of traditional audits but at a fraction of the cost.
Founded in 2008 and privately held, kWIQly is headquartered in Switzerland and has offices in England.
