Nordex secures contracts for 135 MW of wind turbines across Europe

German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex SE (ETR:NDX1) revealed on Thursday new contracts across the UK, Belgium, and France to supply and install wind turbines totaling 135 MW. The identities of the clients and project names remain confidential.

In the UK, Nordex will provide six N133/4800 turbines and seven N163/6.X turbines for a 75.7-MW wind farm located in Scotland. In Belgium, two N163/5.X turbines with a combined capacity of 11.8 MW will be installed, while in France, the company will deliver seven N149/5.X turbines for a 39.9-MW wind project, along with two N117/3600 turbines for a 7.2-MW site.

Delivery and installation are scheduled to commence mid-next year, with Nordex also responsible for ongoing maintenance at all sites. These recent orders follow Nordex’s selection as the turbine supplier for a 147-MW project in Latvia, now owned by state energy firm Latvenergo. Globally, Nordex has installed approximately 57 GW of wind power capacity to date.
