Salher collaborates with large engineering organisations in the energy sector
Water and energy are naturally interconnected. To generate electricity or fuel by coal, oil and gas extraction, geothermal power stations, hydroelectric plants, nuclear plants, solar power plants and, to a lesser degree, wind power plants, the water footprint can be very important.
Energy and Water’s interdependence.
According to a report Thirsty Energy initiative of The World Bank Group, energy consumption will increase by 35% between 2010 and 2035, which will increase water use by 85%, in addition to generating more water pollution.
Being aware of the limit of water resources, public organisations and private companies in the energy sector face currently one of the greatest challenges: reducing in the short term the dependence of clean ground and surface water so as not to affect the energy demand and its production.
Salher remains committed to supporting international Engineering and Construction companies in the Electricity, Oil and Gas industries, providing efficient solutions for waste water treatment and reuse systems.
