Shanghai Sermatec Deploys 5.1-MW LFP Battery Storage System for Bulgarian Solar Client

Shanghai Sermatec Energy Technology Co Ltd, a leading Chinese battery energy storage system (BESS) manufacturer, announced the successful installation of a 5.1 MW/17 MWh energy storage solution in Bulgaria for a commercial and industrial (C&I) client. The client operates a solar photovoltaic plant but previously faced challenges with excess solar power being wasted during the day and relying on grid electricity at night.

To address this, Sermatec deployed 48 units of its EasyCube Series 372kWh Energy Storage Systems, each featuring advanced 3.2V 280Ah lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries. These systems deliver up to 99% conversion efficiency and boast a design lifespan of over 15 years, enhancing energy storage reliability, safety, and efficiency while mitigating solar over-generation issues.

The project also incorporates Sermatec’s proprietary energy management system (EMS), which optimizes solar power integration, manages peak and off-peak energy consumption, and offers real-time monitoring. Additionally, the company’s battery management system (BMS) ensures the safety and health of the battery units, providing a comprehensive and intelligent energy storage solution.
