SYSADVANCE NORTH AMERICA has been selected to supply a biogas upgrading system for the Middlesex County Utility Authority in Sayreville, NJ. The Methagen LF biogas upgrading system was chosen by CEM Engineering and Concord Engineering Group because of its proven capability to upgrade highly contaminated landfill gas while guaranteeing to meet pipeline specifications at market leading efficiency. In addition to the Methagen LF, SYSADVANCE is providing all the gas processing equipment to treat high levels of contaminants, including H2S, VOC’s, and siloxanes.

“The project will allow the Authority to convert their current landfill gas to Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), which will generate new revenue for the Authority, but as importantly will mark a huge improvement in decarbonization,” said Matt Nyquist, Director, Power and Infrastructure at Concord Engineering. “The equivalent of 158,000 passenger vehicle greenhouse gas emissions will be sequestered annually,” said Nyquist.

“We are looking forward to working with MCUA, Concord Engineering, and CEM on this incredible landfill project in the state of New Jersey. Being selected for a project of this magnitude speaks volumes for the performance and reliability of our Pressure Swing Adsorption and Nitrogen Removal technologies for the highest levels of N2 on the market,” Brent Jaklin, SYSADVANCE NORTH AMERICA’s CEO.
