The NEW 1-Gallon TakeAway Medication Recovery System is an ideal solution for the safe collection, return transportation and proper destruction of dispensed unused medications – including controlled substances (Schedules II-V.) The 1-Gallon TakeAway Medication Recovery System is designed to meet and exceed the requirements of the new DEA regulations to implement the Secure and Responsible Drug Disposal Act. The “ship-back” system is for use in the hospice, long-term care and other health-care facilities; also for use by consumers in the home setting or other ultimate user situations where larger volumes of unused/expired medications have accumulated and are in need of safe disposal.
Simply collect all unused/expired patient dispensed medications and deposit into the collection box (commingled collection of controlled and non-controlled medications is allowed.) Seal the collection box per enclosed instructions and return via prepaid shipping to Sharps Compliance for proper destruction.
This System meets and exceeds the new DEA regulations for ultimate user controlled substance disposal per the Disposal Act. No Schedule I drugs are allowed. Please contact customer support if you have any questions.
