Free Breeze - Model PS1800 -1800 Kw Wind Turbine
The PS1800-1.8mW utilizes a highly efficient generator suitable for IGBT-based power converter operations and also ensures that a wide range of speed variation is possible. The power converter is equipped with grid fault ride-through capability, which ensures that no separate capacitor panel is required for power improvement. The sophisticated and accurate hydraulic pitch system performs well in all wind conditions. Three independent pitch cylinders enable more accurate pitching, while the microprocessor-based controller has a touch-screen facility on the operator panel for easy and responsive control. The hub`s top and bottom control panels are incorporated into the machine along with built-in SCADA monitoring software.
The 40m rotor blades, manufactured in-house and according to European standards, are aerodynamically designed to harness maximum power from the wind. A low weight-to-diameter ratio results in less stress, enhancing the lifespan and efficiency of the rotor blades.
The tower is specially designed with rest platforms and lighting facility. Platforms are provided inside the tubular tower to ensure that the components are placed in a manner that allows easy accessibility and effective cable routing. In order to provide convenience to the end user, an optional elevator provision is available in the tower.
