Integrated System Testing

Units can be used to test the data centre’s electrical infrastructure, including power to servers, switches, bus track power units, feed tracks, tap offs, and other devices.   

  • Simulate real-world scenarios like full load operation, power outages, and cooling system failures.  
  • Verify the operational readiness of the data centre before it becomes fully operational. 
  • Test the performance, resilience and robustness of the infrastructure 
Heat load testing server halls

When used to heat load test server halls and cooling systems, operators can link up to 20 machines and strategically place them at intervals around the hall. This allows operators to:   

  • Closely mimic the heat generated by servers.  
  • Replicate airflow patterns and rack configurations such as hot and cold isles.  
  • Verify that the cooling system is operating to specification in the server hall and within safe parameters.
  • Check the redundancy of the system should a cooling unit fail.  
  • Verify that there are no hot spots that may require reconfiguration. 

  • Fully remote operation: Up to 20 units can be configured and controlled using just one LC10 handheld digital controller, enabling fully remote operation and simple management of incremental loads.  
  • Small footprint: At just 1159mm x 876mm x 983mm the load bank has a small footprint, making it easy to position around the server hall. They have also been designed to be stackable, ensuring that they can be transported and stored easily. without taking up valuable room.  
  • Easy to manoeuvre: Heavy-duty castors make the load bank easy to manoeuvre, allowing simple positioning at each PDU in the server hall, for full system testing. 
  • Low delta T and noise: The 200kW has one of the lowest Delta T rises on the market at below 100°C, providing a more accurate test of the cooling system’s ability to handle the actual heat load it will encounter during operation. Noise levels are lowest in class at 83dBA at 1m, an important consideration when operating inside.
