The CIEN5205C-2F-2D232/485 is a Layer 2 100Mbps managed DIN-rail industrial Ethernet switch designed for integrated data and serial device networking. It features five 100Mbps Ethernet ports—comprising two fiber and three copper interfaces—and two RS232/485 serial ports to extend connectivity across both Ethernet and legacy serial equipment. Using a store-and-forward mechanism with strong bandwidth processing and automatic packet-error detection, it minimizes transmission failures and ensures stable, efficient 100Mbps communication. Built with industrial-grade components and manufactured under strict quality control, the switch adopts a rugged metal housing with fanless heat dissipation and supports standard 35mm DIN-rail installation. With an operating temperature range of –40°C to +85°C, it maintains reliable performance in harsh, high-interference industrial environments.

Its serial networking capabilities include UDP, TCP Client, TCP Server, and UDP multicast transmission modes, providing flexible connectivity for CAN devices and various serial terminals.
