Boffetti - Model HICOS AIS -Air Insulated Switchgear for Secondary Distribution
The HICOS AIS is a robust air insulated switchgear designed for secondary distribution with a focus on medium voltage applications. It incorporates a gas insulated three position switch disconnector, a vacuum circuit breaker, and fuses. Additionally, it is equipped with current and voltage sensors for precise measurement. Manufactured for arc-proof performance, the switchgear features distinct compartments separated by a steel casing providing compactness with dimensions as narrow as 375 mm supporting up to 24 kV. Tested to meet IEC Standards and Enel's GSCM005 approval, the switchgear ensures reliable service continuity with LSC2A-PM classification. Ideal for diverse applications, it serves sectors such as renewable energy, utilities, industry, oil and gas, chemical plants, and more. Its technical flexibility and compact design make it suitable for challenging operational environments like data centers, rail transport, and infrastructures. The switchgear also accommodates functional units customizable according to system needs, supporting efficient energy distribution across various domains.

The HICOS AIS switchgear are arc-proof,, made in separate compartments, which can be coupled according to the needs. The range of functional units meets all the needs of secondary distribution systems. They can be equipped with the following devices:
- HICOS SD series gas switch-disconnector
- HICOS SVB series removable vacuum circuit-breaker with lateral operating mechanism
- HICOS DVB series integrated apparatus with vacuum circuitbreaker and three positions gas disconnector
The casing of the apparatus is made of steel and creates the metal separation between the busbar compartment and the cable-line compartment. This solution allows the construction of very compact panels with a width of 375 mm up to a 24 kV.
