Nano-MagModel Hastelloy C-276 - Alloy for Chemical and Petrochemical Applications

SHARE
Hastelloy C-276, recognized as alloy C276, is an austenitic nickel-chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy notable for its resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. Enhanced with high levels of chromium, it effectively resists oxidizing media, while molybdenum and tungsten contribute to its defense against reducing media. Notably, this alloy withstands oxidizing aqueous environments including wet chlorine and nitric acid mixtures, showcasing its versatility in challenging conditions. It's particularly suitable for environments prone to hot contaminated mineral acids and chloride-contaminated media. The alloy is advantageous in preventing grain boundary precipitate formation in weld heat-affected zones, lending itself well to chemical and petrochemical operations in as-welded conditions. Approved under ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code for temperatures up to 1250° F or 677°C, it is utilized in high-pressure autoclaves, reactors, hydrogenators, and other specialized equipment.

Hastelloy C276, also known as alloy C276, is a versatile austenitic nickel- chromium-molybdenum-tungsten alloy with enhanced resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking. The high chromium content provides good resistance to oxidizing media while the molybdenum and tungsten content give good resistance to reducing media. This nickel steel alloy also has excellent resistance to oxidizing aqueous media including wet chlorine and mixtures containing nitric acid or oxidizing acids with chlorine ions. The alloy should be considered for use in environments where resistance to hot contaminated mineral acids, organic and inorganic chloride- contaminated media, chlorine, formic and acetic acids, acetic , acetic anhydride, sea water and brine solutions is desired. Hastelloy C 276 resists the formation of grain boundary precipitates in the weld heat-affected zone, making it a suitable for most chemical and petrochemical processing applications in the as-welded condition. Hastelloy C-276 is approved for construction of pressure vessels and components under ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code for service up to 1250° F or 677°C Nano-Mag Technologies offer various products made from Hastelloy C 276 material including High Pressure Autoclave, Reactor, Hydrogenator, Pressure vessels. Magnetic Drives, Catalyst Filters, Mini Magnetic Couplings etc. as per the requirement.
