The KALDO version of the TRF allows for salt-free operation.

• No door opening during the entire process.
• Rear pouring.
• No oxygen entry into the furnace.
• No exothermicity.
• No use of salt to protect the molten pool.

• Oxy Gas burner.
• VARIGAS burner: with adjustable oxidizing or reducing atmosphere.

With a specific shield to retain dross during pouring.

Working temperature: up to 750°C.
Gas consumption: 400 kWh/ton or 40 m3h/ton.
Cycle duration: 5H

The type and lifespan of the refractory depends on the metal and the operating conditions.
Refractory lifespan:

• Door and gate: between 6 and 8 years
