Fineamin - Model 88 SCAV 25 - Aqueous Mixture of Oxygen Scavenger for Boilers / Steam Generators
FINEAMIN 88 SCAV 25 is an aqueous mixture of catalyzed DEHA 25 %, used as organic oxygen scavenger for steam generating systems together with volatile & film-forming polyamines combinations. FINEAMIN 88 SCAV 25 is a successful boiler and pipes anti-corrosion substitute for the hydrazine hydrate, a widely spread product considered to have a carcinogenic effect on humans. FINEAMIN 88 SCAV 25 does not contain hydrazine, has a rapid reaction, does not affect copper or copper alloys and it is compatible with “all volatile” water treatment.

FINEAMIN 88 SCAV 25 is an aqueous mixture of catalysed DEHA 25 % used as organic oxygen scavenger for steam generating systems. The product reacts with residual dissolved oxygen in feed water, being a successful anti-corrosion substitute for the hydrazine hydrate. It can be mixed with other boiler chemicals in the same dosage tank. Due to the volatile properties, the product is carried throughout the entire boiler system, while reacting with ferrous metals to form a passivized film of magnetite. For increased protection of the metal surfaces, this organic oxygen scavenger can be used together with FINEAMIN 06, a combination of film-forming polyamines and polymers. Environmental Compatibility:
FINEAMIN PRODUCTS have been independently tested and confirmed as ecologically and toxicologically harmless by medical and hygiene institutes. Furthermore, they are almost entirely bio-degradable. For more details see EU safety data sheet.
Application and Dosing:
FINEAMIN 88 SCAV 25 is injected generally in a single point of the plant, using the existing dosing pumps and tanks (can be mixed together with FINEAMIN 15, 06, 90 etc..).
Generally, 8.0 ppm FINEAMIN 88 SCAV 25 neutralizes 1 ppm O2. But before any start of FINEAMIN treatment, our technical service will visit your plant and determine the best way for dosing the FINEAMIN products. They will advise you of the specific dosage requirement for your system.
Precautionary Measures:
FINEAMIN 88 SCAV 25 should be manipulated while wearing protective glasses, goggles and clothing. Contact with skin and clothing should be avoided.
Delivery: FINEAMIN 88 SCAV 25 is delivered as liquid solution in drums of 30 kg, 60 kg or 210 kg. For major customers, it is available in standard containers of 1000 kg. In closed drums, with an ambient temperature range from -5°C to 45°C, the product can be stored for up to 5 years. The drums and containers of FINEAMIN must be kept tightly sealed at all times. Avoid frost.

FINEAMIN organic oxygen scavenger is reacting with residual dissolved oxygen in the feed water and it can be mixed with other boiler chemicals in the same dosage tank. Generally, a dosage of 8.0 ppm FINEAMIN88 SCAV 25 neutralizes 1 ppm O2.
FINEAMIN 88 SCAV 25 is delivered as a ready-to-use proprietary mixture in drums of 30kg, 60kg or 210kg or 1000 kg containers. The drums and containers of FINEAMIN 88 SCAV 25 must be kept always closed. Shell life is 5 years.
