Burning excess biogas in an environmentally friendly way

If the produced biogasc annot be used to generate energy in a CHP unit due to maintenance work or system malfunctions, it should be burnt in an environmentally friendly way using a gas flare.

The simplest option is a manually or automatically operated gas flare. Ignition is carried out by a 12 volt battery or via a fully automatic PLC control system - i.e. the flare carries out all ignition, monitoring and safety functions independently and autonomously.

It is also possible to use a gas compressor blower. This allows higher throughput rates to be achieved at low gas pressures.
