SunCoal - Biofuels

Since 2008, SunCoal`s patented CarboREN Technology has been enabling the conversion of biomass to biocoal which can be utilized in energetic applications for sustainable and climate-friendly power generation. Quality and calorific value of SunCoal`s biocoal are comparable to high-quality lignite, but are C02-neutral and environmentally-friendly. Prices can range up to 250 USD/ton. In addition, SunCoal and the Technical University of Munich have developed an entrained-flow gasifier for the production of syngas from biocoal. Syngas can be used in CHP engines for the generation of heat and power.
