Green Home biogas plant designed by Koshish is a small step towards a sustainable solution for the conversion of biodegradable and domestic waste to biogas and nutrient-rich compost. This is built using FRP (Fibre Reinforced Plastic) and it can be fixed in a small area. The longevity of the plant is guaranteed, as it is made of MS coated with Fiber Reinforced Plastic. As it is prefabricated the construction time is saved and ready to use and less space-consuming.
Instead of letting the wastes rot in landfills, it is more advantageous to utilize and turn them into biogas. An environmental hazard is reduced due to lesser methane, carbon dioxide, and other greenhouse gases produced. Wastes are turned into energy to utilize for cooking and as fertilizers.
The technology involved in biogas production is simple and can be implemented cheaply and efficiently by utilizing small-scale digesters that are easy to use and maintain. These household biodigesters can offer benefits to all spheres of society but are more beneficial to the farmers in rural areas. They can use the gas produced for cooking, and fertilizing crops with the residual waste, which is highly rich in N, P, and K.
