The EUCO® Titan plant has been continuously developed since the company was founded in 1995. It is particularly suitable for the anaerobic digestion of energy crops and in general for biomass with high dry matter content, especially by-products.

It consists of one or more (600-1,000 m³) EUCO® horizontal continuous flow fermenters and of one or more COCCUS® secondary fermenters, whose dimensions and number depend on the biomass used.

The most obvious external feature that makes the EUCO® stand out from traditional fermenters is its shape: a parallelepiped made of reinforced concrete instead of the usual circular tub. But it is inside that it hides the secret for effective anaerobic digestion: a paddle agitator that runs along the entire length of the fermenter. The paddle agitator is characterized by extremely low energy consumption, thanks to synchronous direct-drive motors. Completely made of steel, and extremely sturdy, it is equipped with long blades arranged like a fan, which break the substrate surface and touch the bottom, thus preventing the formation of floating material, foam, crusts or sedimentation that would prevent the release of biogas.

The EUCO® is, therefore, a plug-flow fermenter, whose main advantage is the certainty that the biomass will remain in the plant for a definite time because it is forced to travel the tank in its entire length. This way, the entire quantity of biomass will have gone through at least one of the digestion phases, ensuring that no undigested substrate enters the secondary fermenter: all the potential of the biomass is used.
