Biogas Upgrading
CO2 Removal Plants with biomethane production. To effectively remove CO2, H2S and H2O from a BIOGAS stream, choose a modular TPI Low Pressure Extraction Plant. Operates with simple and reliable solvent technology. Available a membrane option.
- BioMethane purity up to 99,5% vol.
- CO2 content < 0,5% vol
- Execution: Ex Zone 1-2, T2,T3, ATEX
- Maximize yield in the treated gas
- High reliability, continuous production
- Full automatic operation
TPI’s technology is based on a dedicated solvent, enhanced with special additives selected only for Biogas application. CO2 removal from Biogas with a Low Pressure process requires a very low power consumption.
The process is very simple because does not need any upstream treatment for de-sulfurization or de-hydration. Coupled with state-of-the-art proprietary design, TPI’s plants achieve a very high methane concentration (up to 99,5%) with reduced regeneration energy consumption, and negligible solvent degradation.
Also downstream compression (optional fine polishing) is less expensive because only treated gas has to be compressed.
Since the beginning, TPI has been a specialist in membrane separation technology and realized different industrial membrane applications (N2 generator, flue gas separation, biogas upgrading).
At present, TPI’s R&D departement is involved in DoubleNanoMem,
project financed by EU Commission’s 7th Framework Program to develop Nanocomposite and Nanostructured Polymeric Membranes for Gas and Vapour Separations.
