BRZ - Zeolite for Anaerobic Digesters

The generation of odor from urea and manure is propagated by ammonia gas, which is lighter than air and rises. In anaerobic digesters, BRZ™ captures nitrogen as ammonium before it vaporizes to ammonia gas. Captured ammonium also helps prevent the leaching of the nitrogen to the groundwater. Ammoniated BRZ™ can be used as a high value fertilizer. Clinoptilolite zeolite added to the digester has shown higher levels of organic matter degradation and increased methane gas production that can be used as a fuel for electricity generation.
