CEL - Building-Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) Power Plant

Indian Railways along with Central Electronics Limited, Sahibabad has commissioned India’s first Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) Solar Power Platform at the platform number 1 of Sahibabad Railway Station.  The Building-integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) Power Plant integrates solar modules into the building envelope, such as the roof or the facade. The earlier roof of the platform shed at Sahibabad Railway Station was made of Asbestos Sheets. A new waterproof roof made of solar PV modules has replaced the Asbestos Sheets roof.
