Ceramic Piston
Withstand wear and tear in different areas of application; The ceramic pistons produced by OXIDKERAMIK meet the highest wear requirements. They are extremely resistant to corrosion and pressure. The service life of the machines in which they are used is therefore extended considerably. Our company manufactures ceramic high-pressure piston, Keramikplunger , bushings and other pump components from alumina ceramic or zirconia ceramic OK997 CR101.
Optimal sliding properties due to special surface properties
They are then used, among other things, in high-pressure water technology. The ceramic pistons benefit from the special properties of OK997 and CR105 and the special surface properties of the material used, which leads to optimal sliding behavior and excellent coefficients of friction.
Zirconia ceramic pistons - properties at a glance
Our two materials, CR101, zirconium oxide partially stabilized with magnesium oxide, and CR105, zirconium oxide partially stabilized with yttrium oxide, have extremely high strength and edge stability. The flexural strength and fracture toughness are enormous. They also have excellent tribological properties in terms of friction and wear.
- minimal tendency to weld against metallic materials
- outstanding tribological behavior
- exceptional flexural strength
- highest fracture toughness with excellent wear resistance
- very high compressive strength
- low thermal conductivity, ideal when used for thermal insulation
- very high edge stability
