Sokratherm - Model 400 kW Class -Compact CHP Units
Our first compact CHP units of the 400 kW class have been installed late 2003. After several innovation steps in which the CHP unit size was reduced and the power increased the CHP unit type GG 402 introduced in 2007 is the world’s most compact CHP unit of the 400 kW class today.
The unit with a turbo charged 12 cylinder MAN engine has proven to be very solid. Ideal for a profitable operation is a continuous, high heat demand well-spread among the year. This CHP unit type was built in our largest multi-CHP unit to date (4 x GG 402) with 1,6 MW electric and 2,2 MW thermal power and excels with its efficiency rates. It also runs in military barracks, large swimming pools (e.g. Aquapark in Kiev, Ukraine) and industrial sites as DePuy in Ireland, Sartorius or Philips or 3 x GG 402 supplying the Kolibri ice cream factory in Nischni Nowgorod in Russia (german article (55 kB)).

- Sewage gas: FG 355, FG 355e, FG 363, FG 402
The compact CHP units of the 100 kW class have all core characteristics of SOKRATHERM cogeneration units:
- very compact design by perfect constrution for cost-efficient installation also in narrow rooms,
- minimal istallation cost by ready-to-connect construction with integrated switchgear cabinet,
- excellent efficiency by making best use of energy contained in the fuel gas,
- best protection of the environment by operating the gas egine in the range with lowest emissions,
- lowest sound emissions by excellent sound isolation and vibration decoupling,
- best availability by fully automatic operation with the internet based remote monitoring and control,
- highest reliabiliy and therefore low operation and maintenance cost.
