Dermagard - Window Film
Dermagard Window FilmDermagard has been the market leader in UV Window Film for over 10 years, offering basic UV protection up to 380nm. Although now quite an aged technology, it is still regularly prescribed for people with photosensitive conditions.
Today however there are a range of UV window films on the market, and the type of product most suited to your condition will depend entirely on what wavelengths you are most sensitive to.
Choosing the right protection
In order to get the best possible protection, you should always:
- Speak to your doctor to find out exactly which wavelengths you are most sensitive to.
- Speak to one of our UV specialists for advice on which products offer the best protection at these wavelengths.
ARC UV Window Films
Although all UV window films will offer protection to 380nm the day they are installed, some of the older design products are not very durable and therefore rapidly lose their protective properties. This can take as little as two years in some cases.
ARC UVCL Plus is multi layered clear UV film designed to offer UV protection for 2-3 times longer than the basic construction products, so offers the longest protection available for those sensitive to 400nm or below.
ARC UVTA continues to offer protection above 400nm, also offering protection against the early parts of visible light (namely the blue light).
Additional Window Film Benefits:
The greatest advantage of window film when compared to alternatives is that it offers a combination of benefits. Films can include some if not all of the following additional benefits:
- Solar Window Film
- UV – Protection against the biggest contributor to fading – keeping furnishings looking for much longer.)
- Privacy Window Film
- Graffiti Protection
- Safety & Security – Increased Protection
- Quick to install with minimum disruption
- Increased appearance – Solar control films can complement both modern and traditional buildings
