GISMA - Model Series 16 -Electrical Connectors for Offshore Applications
The Baureihe 16 series of electrical round connectors meet the US offshore specifications API 16D and 17E, designed for longevity under extreme environmental and operational conditions. Constructed with corrosion-resistant titanium, these highly pressure-resistant connector housings are engineered for long-term use, featuring dry-mateable capability. The connectors are equipped with elastomer insulation technology adapted from the proven Baureihe 10 series, which ensures high reliability with a longitudinally waterproof, vulcanized elastomer insulator that incorporates a patented lip seal. The series is modular, offering both socket and pin insulators for customizable connectors. Moreover, the series is particularly suitable for hose connection technology due to its longitudinal sealing on the connection side. Designed for a service life of 25 years, these system connectors with titanium housings maintain secure locking with a flat thread in the coupling nut, even under conditions of high contamination.
The Series 16 electrical circular connectors meet the US offshore specifications API 16D and 17E. The high-pressure-resistant connector housings are made of corrosion-resistant titanium. The dry-mating Series 16 connectors are specifically designed for long-term applications and utilize the elastomer insulating body principle from the long-established Series 10.
Under extreme environmental and operating conditions, the longitudinally watertight vulcanized elastomer insulating body with patented lip seal ensures high functional reliability. Furthermore, the modular series offers both socket and pin insulating bodies for every connector. With its longitudinally tight seal on the connection side, the Series 16 is particularly suitable for hose connection technology.
System connectors with titanium housings are designed for a 25-year service life. Even under high levels of contamination, the flat thread in the union nut ensures a secure locking mechanism.
