Electroproject - Model Smart-D -Frequency Converter
Electroproject, in collaboration with Canadian SmartD Technologies, introduces a new range of Clean Power frequency converters with superior performance in terms of power factor, switching frequency, Active Front End and integrated filtering.
The Clean Power frequency inverter can be used without problems for new-, as well as existing motors, covering more than 95% of all industrial applications, resulting in increased efficiency, reduced maintenance and lower investment costs.
SmartD Technologies has made a significant leap forward in motor control technology. Thanks to advanced semiconductors such as gallium nitride (GaN) and silicon carbide (SiC), the SmartD frequency inverter delivers a nearly 100% pure sine-wave current. This eliminates the need for large external filters and allows switching speeds in excess of 100 kHz, significantly increasing efficiency.

The built-in Active Front End (AFE) ensures a clean power supply, lowers costs and extends equipment lifetime. This makes the technology ideal for both industrial and commercial environments where energy efficiency is a priority.

- Low harmonic distortion: Thanks to the built-in Active Front End, harmonic distortion is minimised (THDi < 5%), fully complying with the IEEE519 standards. This leads to a more stable and efficient power supply.

Thanks to SmartD`s advanced technology, expensive components such as filters and insulated bearings are no longer needed. No EMC cable is also required anymore, the SmartD works perfectly with unshielded motor cable - just 3 wires in, 3 wires out to upgrade your system.
