Fan Array Systems for New Construction and Replacement Applications
Fan array technology is a design approach where a single large fan is replaced by an array of smaller fans. A fan array consists of multiple panels and fans mounted together. Fan array can be used in air handler units and cooling towers.
The technology mean a combination of smaller fans that are built into a array section to replace a single large fan.
A Baikal fan array is designed to meet system airflow requirements and is operated with a small controller that is integrated into a small electrical box outside of the air handler unit, the operator to adjust the speed of the fans as required.
Fan array air handling units come in different sizes to match the performance and airflow requirements of a facility and optimize efficiency in operation.
Fanw array are designed with high-efficiency, as well as variable frequency drives which can turn each fan on or off and adjust each fan’s speed.
Fan array air handling units are used in hospitals, universities, sports stadiums, concert halls, manufacturing facilities, commercial and residential buildings, and other venues.
The fan array is the best option if you want to reduce air handler footprint, reduce noise, improve reliability, increase energy efficiency, lower costs, and simplify installation and maintenance.
This array of fans offers benefits such as:
- CFM redundancy
- Decreased maintenance costs over an AC fan counterpart (no belts, pulleys, or grease to worry about)
- Lower running costs (more energy efficient)
- Integrated VFD technology (speed of fan array can be adjusted with purchasing expensive VFDs)
- Noise reduction – EC fans are 20% quieter than AC fans
