CertainTeed`s Flintlastic® SA Cap is the workhorse cap sheet used within Flintlastic® SA, fully self-adhered low-slope roof systems. This 160-mill membrane is manufactured with a resilient polyester reinforcement saturated and coated with SBS-modified bitumen, offering exceptional durability and resistance to weathering. SA Cap is available in 11 true-blend colors designed to complement popular shingles as well as CoolStar® highly solar-reflective surfacing.

SPEED. CertainTeed commissioned a third party comparison of labor efficiencies across multiple popular low-slope roof systems including multi-layer modified bitumen and single-ply systems. A two or three ply Flintlastic® SA system installed faster than traditional modified application methods and single ply. Watch the side-by-side time trial.

AFFORDABILITY. While material costs associated with multi-ply modified bitumen roof systems can be greater than single-ply, once labor savings are factored in, installed costs are comparable. Multi-ply protection is superior.

FUME & FLAME FREE. Leave your kettles and torches behind - Flintlastic® SA roof systems requires only a weighted roller to achieve a comparable bond to traditional mod-bit installation methods. Include FlintPrime®, for priming as needed, and FlintBond® for detail work.
