At Advent we believe that the world can decarbonize faster. To accelerate the pace of electrification we will need Hydrogen and Renewable Fuels (aka Liquid Sun, Liquid Wind). These fuels will enable true zero emissions (well to wheel) carbon-neutral power for the automotive, aviation, drone, portable, marine, and heat & power generation markets. Renewable fuels carry hydrogen, without the need for hydrogen infrastructure.

In order to reach the goal of GHG emissions control and pollution control, the world will need renewable energy but also energy storage solutions, and renewable fuels like hydrogen. Advent’s technology addresses the cost problems of hydrogen fuel cells, renewable fuels, hydrogen infrastructure, production, and energy storage.

We have a platform technology based on high temperature operating membranes and electrodes that result in fuel-flexible fuel cells that can generate clean electricity from hydrogen, natural gas, methanol, renewable fuels/biofuels.

For the last fifteen years we have developed the core materials, components and processes that will revolutionalize the energy sector.
We develop, patent and license to Tier1, OEMs and major manufacturers the new energy solutions of the 21^st century.

Earlier this year, Advent Technologies acquired UltraCell LLC (“UltraCell”), the fuel cell division of Bren-Tronics, Inc. (“Bren-Tronics”). Advent subsidiary UltraCell is a leader in lightweight fuel cells for the portable power market with mature products and cutting-edge technology. The portable battery chargers produced by UltraCell are the only “Made in USA” fuel cell products approved by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), and one of the only two manufacturers across NATO. UltraCell units are already deployed in the field by U.S. military and security agencies. Three additional NATO allies are currently testing UltraCell systems. UltraCell’s fuel cell products have also been recognized and presented in multiple global NATO events.
