GEOFABRICS Miragrid - Model GX -Mechanically Stabilized Earth System for Slopes and Walls
Miragrid GX is a geogrid designed for mechanically stabilized earth systems, suitable for reinforcing slopes and walls. Crafted from polymer-coated high-tenacity polyester yarns, it features a flexible structure that promotes effective interlocking and soil interaction. This geogrid is characterized by its high tensile strength, low creep, and limited elongation, ensuring durability and reliability in reinforcement applications. The chemical resistance of Miragrid GX makes it ideal for various environmental conditions. It accommodates a wide range of fill types, from clays to sands and well-graded aggregates, with particle sizes up to 65mm. The geogrid is supplied in various roll widths, tailored for different applications, including modular block walls and large slopes. Primarily utilized in embankments and reinforced slopes, this geogrid facilitates construction on soft foundations and allows for steep slopes that would be infeasible with unreinforced soil. Miragrid GX also serves to stabilize road and rail constructions over weak soils and to maintain the integrity of landfill cover systems.

Miragrid GX can be used in a wide variety of fill types from clays to sands up to well-graded aggregates having a maximum particle size of 65mm. The wide range of testing with these fill types allow the geogrid to be used for slopes and walls, as well as basal reinforcement for embankments.

Installation
Miragrid GX geogrid is supplied in rolls of 2.6m wide for modular block walls (NZ only) and 5.2m wide for slopes and large walls. The geogrid has its main strength in the longitudinal or roll direction, it is easy to handle and install, can be easily cut to length and placed into position.
