Biofabrik - Green Refinery Biorefinery Plant
The Biofabrik Green Refinery Biorefinery was developed over a period of more than 12 years. Based on a process developed at the University of Linz, Biofabrik’s series production plant, business model and products were brought to production maturity.
The decentralized technology of the Biofabrik enables diverse use cases in different conditions. In this way, we help industrial customers, environmentally conscious companies, and end customers to close material cycles and thus initiate the circular economy of the future.
The nutrients removed from pasture grass can be used in a variety of ways. For example, for the production of ecological fertilizer, which is not only made from a renewable raw material, but can also ensure that agriculture as a whole becomes more sustainable.
The Biorefinery has the potential to supply an ever-increasing mass of people with healthy, sustainable and ecologically efficient proteins. To ensure future nutrition, we continue to research the use of the proteins obtained as the basis of a vegan base for the alternative meat industry.
The biorefinery can be optimally used in conjunction with grass-processing biogas plants due to the symbiotic relationship. The biogas plant can utilize the grass silage pressed by the Biorefinery more efficiently due to the increased surface area and supplies the Biorefinery with the necessary energy on the other side.
