Born to innovate

The Hopium story is a saga rooted in passion and daring.

Created in 2019, Hopium was founded by racing driver Olivier Lombard, winner of the 2011 Le Mans 24-hour race and the world's most experienced hydrogen racer.

At the outset, the ambition was simple: to rethink the future of mobility by offering innovative alternatives to traditional modes of transport. Guided by this vision, Hopium set out on a journey into the unknown, ready to defy convention and push back the boundaries of innovation. The early years were marked by a series of successes, but also challenges. Armed with steely determination and growing expertise, we developed our first prototypes, exploring new technologies and pushing the boundaries of what was possible. However, it wasn't until we embraced the challenge of sustainability that our true essence emerged. Aware of the urgency of climate change, we decided to place this issue at the heart of our mission. That's how our commitment to clean technologies became the driving force behind our growth and innovation.
