Noreus - Infrared Heating System
If you’ve ever felt the glow of the sun on your face or the heat of an open fire, then you’ve enjoyed the wonderfully warming sensation of infrared heat. By harnessing the power of infrared in our homes, we can create an energy efficient and cost-effective heating system that can save up to 50% on household bills.
How infrared heating works
Infrared is a form of completely safe electromagnetic radiation that can be used to heat your home and save money.
An infrared heater is plugged into your electricity supply and therefore works as a replacement for traditional radiators.
How? Conventional systems mainly use the principle of convection to heat up a room. As a radiator warms up, it heats the air around it. The hot air expands and rises but the surrounding cooler air works to pull this warmth back down. This process of heating, rising, cooling and falling creates a convection current, which in turn gradually heats up a room.
Infrared works differently. An infrared wave keeps travelling until it hits an object and it is only then that it produces that lovely feeling of instant warmth.
Forget waiting for the empty space in a room to heat up while you keep adjusting the thermostat and watching your money disappear. With infrared heating, there is very little waste.
What is more, if used alongside a solar PV system to generate electricity, infrared heating represents a clean, green, energy efficient solution.
