Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) is a core component of new energy vehicles, including hybrid and pure electric vehicles. It is the central controller in the powertrain domain, used to coordinate signals from BMS, MCU, DCDC, OBC, etc. It can provide torque coordination, gearshift strategies, high-voltage coordination, charging control, diagnostics, monitoring, thermal management and much more for hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) and battery electric vehicles (BEV).
