Model EMC GigaSpeed Line -High Speed Inline Roll-to-Roll Module Production

EMC’s GigaSpeed™ production line is comprised of two main manufacturing zones: Zone 1 is the high-speed roll-to-roll printing of seven solar cell layers inline. Employing a multi-station production process on a vast web, the annual output of one line (at typical uptime and yield rates) culminates in 20 million square meters, amounting to 4GW of BackbonePV™ material per year. Zone 2 turns the solar cell material printed on flexible glass or plastic substrate base into a finished module — assembling weatherization laminates, frames, junction boxes, and the front glass.
