SHARE

Motor protection based on PTC sensors represents one of the most effective and reliable protective measures against thermal overload of electrical machines. The protection device consists of the INT69 motor protector and the PTC sensors. Due to its compact design, the INT69 is suitable for installation in electrical devices or the terminal box of electrical machines.

Depending on the device version, up to nine PTC sensors to DIN 44081, DIN 44082, also with different nominal response temperatures, can be connected to the measuring circuit input of an INT69 motor protection relay. It is therefore possible to monitor several measuring points with just one INT69 motor protector.

If the temperature in one of the parts or sections to be monitored reaches the nominal response temperature of the respective PTC sensor, the sensor becomes highly resistive, and the tripping device switches off.

  • Diagnose function enables storage of operating and malfunction data
  • Variety of device versions for different requirements
  • Tamper-proof hardware and software
  • Customer-specific adaptation of the software possible through parameterization (depending on model)
Static temperature monitoring

When the nominal response temperature of the installed AMS or PTC sensors is reached, the system is switched off without delay.

Dynamic temperature monitoring

If the temperature rises unusually quickly, the motor is switched off immediately, even if it is still far below the nominal response temperature. This prevents high temperature overflows.
