Model RM AirSeT -SF6-Free Gas Insulated Medium Voltage Switchgear Up to 24 kV
Part of SeT Series: SF6-free GIS ring main unit (RMU) and modular MV switchgear for secondary distribution applications up to 24kV.
Green and powerful RMU
With over 1.8 million MV functions operating for decades in more than 150 countries, we pride ourselves on unrivaled experience in Ring Main Unit (RMU) design.
A pinnacle of this legacy, RM AirSeT, an SF6-free GIS, combines pure air technology to decarbonize grids with features enabling enhanced performance, reliability, and efficiency of distribution networks.
Sustainability
RM AirSeT uses pure air yet retains or advances the functions and advantages of traditional SF6 GIS MV equipment. This SF6-free technology enables grid decarbonization, helping hit sustainability targets. Pure air has no global warming potential and produces zero toxic by-products in breaking. It also reduces the potential impact of more stringent future regulations. RM AirSeT has received the Green Premium eco-label.
Reliability
24/7 connectivity boosts GIS uptime, while the optional Easergy T300 RTU enables smart grid monitoring and control. Built tough, the SF6-free RMU uses high-performance components such as the CompoDrive operating mechanism and is sealed-for-life to preserve live parts from ambient conditions. Additionally, the MV switchgear offers scalable architectures, plug-and-play motorization, and familiar operation, keeping the traditional 3-position switch and switch-fuse.
Efficiency and flexibility
RM AirSeT offers a wide range of functions, including switch, vacuum CB, and a compact switch-fuse – a first for an SF6-free GIS MV switchgear – in a compact footprint. These functions can be mixed and matched on order. Optimized for operation and maintenance, the smart RMU offers 24/7 asset health visibility, with thermal and environmental monitoring, plug-and-play motorization, and end-of-life peace of mind with no gas recycling required.
