Model RTA Series -High Voltage Converters for Electric Train

The converters of RTA series are designed to convert 3kV DC voltage contact system into single-phased and three-phased voltage with a frequency of 50 Hz to supply energy consumers (engines of slave machine, air conditioner, volume compressor) and to charge storage batteries.

The DC voltage is fed through a protecting device to a high-voltage inverter operating at high frequency, and through isolation transformers to the rectifiers, which form the direct current output bus. Converters of the respective channels with the said technical specifications are connected to the output bus.

A high voltage inverter and channel converters are made at IGBT machines equipment. High-voltage inverter and channel converters are controlled by a microprocessor.
