The converters have semiconductor diodes placed on common heat sinks using special heat-removing dielectric insulators.
The insulator`s body is similar to the diode`s shell. Thus eliminates the possibility of mechanical damage (cracking), typical for lamellate type insulator. After electrical breakdown, the insulating abilities of insulators restores automatically.
Thanks to the use of special fixtures the process of repair in the field simplifies.
Cooling is effected by means of airflow.
