Extended system life and reliability.

The average speed of a pump driven by MIDA is inevitably lower than a comparable fixed speed pump. This reduces component wear such as bearings, bushings, seals, etc.  MIDA also starts and stops the pump gently, reducing the mechanical stress on the shaft and impellers and avoiding water hammer. Hardware and software protections provided by MIDA prevent any damage to the pump and the system.  At lower speeds, the system will also generate less noise.

Drive them all

In addition to the advanced control of three-phase asynchronous and synchronous motors with permanent magnets, in models with single-phase input, control for single-phase motors is available:

  • 2-wire split-phase (only for 209, 212, 218)
  • 2-wire PSC
  • 3-wire PSC
  • 3-wire CSCR
  • 3-wire CSIR

In the control of single-phase 3-wire motors, the use of the control box with capacitors and starting relays is no longer necessary as the inverter electronically performs its function. This results in a significant advantage in terms of operational regularity and long-term reliability.

Energy saving due to variable speed control.

The power consumed by the pump is proportional to the cube of its speed. Unlike traditional systems where the pump speed is fixed and controlled by the mains frequency (@ 50 Hz, about 3000 rpm), MIDA is able to vary the pump speed according to water demand. In the presence of low demand, MIDA controls the pump at a reduced speed, which consumes less power. For example, if the pump turns at 40 Hz (about 2400 rpm) instead the nominal 50 Hz (about 3000 rpm), power consumption would be half.
